Watch Klay Thompson’s 29 first-half points against Spurs (VIDEO)

Golden State Warriors v San Antonio Spurs - Game Two

Mark Jackson sounds like his old announcer self — you remember, over the top and annoying — when he says that his combination of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson is the greatest shooting backcourt of all time. Let’s give it a little time here, partner.

But that backcourt is really good — the Spurs have not been able to contain it for two games at home and now San Antonio is in some trouble (Golden State’s win Wednesday knotted the series at 1-1). Just like the Nuggets were before.

In Game 1 it was Curry, but in Game 2 on Wednesday it was the Klay Thompson show — son of former Showtime Laker Mychal Thompson, Klay reminds us all why shooters tend to rise up the draft board the closer we get to the draft itself. At the end of the day basketball is about putting the ball in the basket and if you can do that you have value in the league.

Here are Thompson’s 29 first half points against the Spurs, which keyed the win. He finished with 24 points and hit 8-of-9 from three.
