Rob Dillingham underwent surgery to remove a ganglion cyst from his right wrist.
Acquired from the Timberwolves at the trade deadline, Dillingham struggled with a right wrist injury early in his arrival in the Windy City. However, the second-year guard made strides down the stretch, shooting just over 46 percent from the field in April. With Josh Giddey under contract for the next three seasons, Dillingham’s best opportunity at playing time in 2026-27 is likely to be as the backup point guard if he can win the job in training camp.

Rob Dillingham tallied 25 points (11-of-18 FGs, 2-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, five assists, two steals and one three-pointer in Sunday’s loss to the Mavericks.
Recording his second 20-point game of the season, Dillingham finished Sunday’s defeat with his first career 25/5/5 stat line. The second-year guard was responsible for five turnovers, but the overall output was encouraging. With the Bulls needing to hire a new executive VP of basketball operations and a new general manager, it’s unclear what opportunities Dillingham will have next season. For now, he should only be rostered in dynasty leagues.
  • CHI Guard #22
Anfernee Simons (wrist) will sit out the final two games of the season.
Simons is one of a handful of Bulls that will sit out the last two games of the regular season. Collin Sexton will see plenty of minutes with Josh Giddey (hamstring) also out while Rob Dillingham should have a significant bench role.

Rob Dillingham had 26 points (9-of-15 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs), seven rebounds, two assists, two steals and five three-pointers in Tuesday’s win over the Wizards.
Dillingham is seeing more minutes with Josh Giddey (hamstring) out lately and he capitalized on his opportunity Tuesday against the Wizards. The 21-year-old shooting guard dropped a season-high 26 points and five three-pointers in 27 minutes off the bench. A top-10 pick in 2024, Dillingham showed he could be a player to watch going forward.
  • CHI Guard #3
Josh Giddey (hamstring) will not play against the Pacers on Wednesday.
Down one of its top scorers, leading passers, and best rebounders, Chicago could find itself in a tough battle with Indiana on Wednesday. However, Giddey’s absence should open the door for players like Collin Sexton and Rob Dillingham to see more minutes. Sexton, on the heels of a 20-point outing, could be a nice player for fantasy managers to stream.
  • CHI Guard #7
Rob Dillingham (knee) is available to play against the Thunder on Friday.
Dillingham will suit up despite dealing with patellar tendinitis in both knees. He has had success on offense recently, scoring in double figures in six of his last seven games, and he’ll continue to be a sparkplug off the bench for Chicago.
  • CHI Guard #7
Rob Dillingham (knee) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Thunder.
Dillingham is dealing with patellar tendinitis in both of his knees. With the Bulls headed for the draft lottery, rolling the dice on anyone health-wise feels unlikely. If Dillingham can’t play, Tre Jones and Collin Sexton can absorb those minutes.
  • CHI Guard #22
Anfernee Simons (wrist) and Jaden Ivey (knee) are out for Monday’s matchup with the Rockets.
There’s no clear timeline for either Simons or Ivey to return to Chicago’s lineup. Until the pair is cleared to return, Tre Jones and Rob Dillingham should handle additional responsibilities.
  • CHI Guard #2
Collin Sexton (leg) is probable for Thursday’s game against the Cavaliers.
Sexton was back in the Bulls’ rotation on Wednesday after missing the previous four games, playing 18 minutes off the bench. He’ll likely take on a similar workload if allowed to play, making fellow reserve Rob Dillingham a more attractive option in deep leagues.
  • CHI Guard #7
Rob Dillingham added 15 points (7-of-11 FGs), four assists, one block and one three-pointer in Wednesday’s loss to the Raptors.
Collin Sexton’s return from a four-game absence on Wednesday didn’t seem to impact Dillingham’s production. The young point guard secured a fourth consecutive double-digit scoring performance while making solid contributions as a passer, again. Dillingham has played north of 20 minutes per game pretty consistently of late. And given his production, he could become an interesting streaming option should any of the main guards ahead of him in the rotation miss time.
