Cavaliers selected Saliou Niang with pick No. 58 in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Saliou is a wing from Senegal who has some upside to be a switchable defender. His shooting is subpar, and he did most of his scoring at the rim. He played in Italy this past season and averaged 7.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. Cavaliers general manager Mike Gansey said Niang will be
stashed overseas next season. ESPN’s Jonathan Givony reported that the wing will play for Virtus Bologna in Italy.
