T.J. McConnell (hamstring) has been ruled out against the Bulls on Wednesday.
McConnell will be sidelined for the first time in a few weeks, and with Andrew Nembhard (back) also out, Indiana will be thin at point guard. Kam Jones and Taelon Peter should both play significant roles after not seeing the floor in the Pacers’ last game.
  • IND Guard #9
T.J. McConnell (hamstring) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Wizards.
McConnell did not play in Thursday’s loss to the Wizards, so Ethan Thompson and Taelon Peter played rotation minutes off the bench. With Andrew Nembhard (back) listed as doubtful, the Pacers could ask even more of Peter if McConnell remains out for a second consecutive game.
  • IND Guard #7
Kam Jones (back) is questionable for Friday’s game against the Wizards.
Jones did not return to Thursday’s game after halftime, as he was ruled out with lower back soreness. The rookie logged 14 minutes off the bench, and afterward, Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said that he hopes Jones can play in Friday’s rematch. He should be considered questionable, with his absence potentially meaning more minutes for fellow rookie Taelon Peter if Jones can’t play.
  • IND Guard #4
Taelon Peter accounted for 16 points (5-of-12 FGs, 1-of-4 FTs), five rebounds, two assists and five three-pointers in Thursday’s loss to the Wizards.
After recording career-highs in points (14) and three-pointers (four) in the Pacers’ final game before the All-Star break, Peter broke those marks on Thursday. T.J. McConnell (hamstring) being out freed up a few more minutes for the second-round pick, and he took advantage of his opportunity. Eleven of Peter’s 12 shot attempts came from beyond the arc, knocking down five. Peter’s opportunities moving forward depend on the availability of Indiana’s more experienced guards, as well as rookie Kam Jones, who was limited to 14 minutes due to a lower back issue.
  • IND Guard #9
T.J. McConnell (knee, elbow) has been ruled out against the Pistons on Saturday.
McConnell will get the night off, and with Andrew Nembhard (back) as well, there will be plenty of point guard minutes open for the shorthanded Pacers. Kam Jones and Taelon Peter should fill the void for this game.
  • IND Guard-Forward #2
Andrew Nembhard (back) has been ruled out against the Pistons on Saturday.
Nembhard will get the night off to manage a back injury. T.J. McConnell will as well, so the point guard minutes should be left for Kam Jones and Taelon Peter for the shorthanded Pacers.
  • IND Guard #9
T.J. McConnell (knee) is questionable for Monday’s game against the Celtics.
McConnell is dealing with a sore left knee, hence his appearance on the Pacers’ injury report. While his status does not affect starter Andrew Nembhard, the Pacers could potentially call up Taelon Peter from the G League. If Peter gets called up early Monday afternoon, that may be a sign that McConnell won’t be available.
  • IND Guard #4
Taelon Peter (groin) is available for Tuesday’s game against the Jazz.
Peter is good to go after initially being listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game. However, he played only six minutes in Sunday’s loss to the Warriors, and T.J. McConnell is available for the first time this season. Peter is unlikely to get the minutes needed to make an impact in fantasy basketball.

Taelon Peter (groin) is questionable for Tuesday’s game against the Jazz.
Peter was initially questionable for Sunday’s loss to the Warriors, playing six minutes off the bench. Even if he’s available on Tuesday, the rookie guard will be in for a similar workload since Andrew Nembhard is healthy. And if T.J. McConnell (hamstring) plays, Peter may be in for a DNP-CD.
  • IND Guard #4
Taelon Peter (groin) is available for Sunday’s game against the Warriors.
Peter is good to go after initially being questionable for Sunday’s game. Due to the Pacers’ lack of options, Peter will play rotation minutes. However, he is not worth rostering in fantasy leagues.
