Mozgov

The Magic waived Mozgov earlier this month after Timofey didn’t play a single game in 2018-19 due to a knee injury and his ineffectiveness. He’s very likely played his final game in the NBA.

Mozgov’s contract, originally signed with the Lakers, was a disaster from the start. He has one year left on his deal, worth $16.7 million. The Magic intend to stretch the final year of his contract, which will split up the total into cap-hits of $5.6 million over each of the next three seasons and create space under the luxury tax.

Per Orlando’s press release, Mozgov’s return to basketball activity will be dictated on how he responds to treatment. He should be left on waivers in all fantasy formats.

Mozgov is not in Orlando’s long-term plans anyways and he’ll be fourth on center depth chart when he’s eventually cleared.

Mozgov has yet to play this season. He is not on the fantasy radar.

Orlando will dish out roughly $16 million to Mozgov this season for him to serve as a cheerleader on the sidelines.

Mozgov is not a part of the Magic rotation and has no value in fantasy leagues.

Mozgov is not a part of the Magic’s rotation even when fully healthy. He belongs on the waiver wire in all fantasy formats.

He should be fine for the start of the season, but he’s irrelevant in fantasy hoops.

Mozgov is buried on the Magic’s depth chart behind Nikola Vucevic and Mo Bamba. Mozgov can be ignored in all fantasy formats.
