A 6'8" forward out of Notre Dame, Beachem improved rapidly every season and averaged 14.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 0.9 assists, 1.1 blocks and 2.4 3-pointers on 42.2 percent shooting as a senior. The Wolves are set on the wings with Andrew Wiggins and Jimmy Butler expected to log heavy minutes under coach Tom Thibodeau, so Beachem will have a limited role if he earns a roster spot in Minnesota.

V.J. Beachem has agreed to a partially guaranteed, training camp deal with the Lakers.

The undrafted forward out of Notre Dame put in averages of 14.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 2.4 triples and 1.1 blocks per game during his senior season, and he’ll now try and earn a spot on the regular-season roster in Los Angeles.
