Packers restructured OG Aaron Banks’ contract.
According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, this “simple restructure” will reduce Banks’ 2026 cap hit down to $24.8 million. Banks, who was drafted in the second round by the 49ers back in 2021, signed a four-year contract with the Packers last offseason and is under contract through 2028. The five-year vet started 14 of the 15 games he appeared in for the Packers in 2025.
  • GB Kicker #17
Packers declared K Brandon McManus, DL Devonte Wyatt, OT Anthony Belton and CB Kamal Hadden inactive for Week 6 against the Bengals.
The Packers signed K Lucas Havrisik on Saturday, with McManus nursing a quad injury. Havrisik will kick in McManus’ stead. Green Bay received great news regarding the offensive line’s health. LT Rasheed Walker (quad), LG Aaron Banks (groin/knee), RT Zach Tom (oblique/back) and backup OG/C Jacob Monk are all active this week. The talented unit should keep QB Jordan Love upright against the Bengals. Starting CB Nate Hobbs (concussion) is not on the inactives list, indicating he successfully passed the NFL’s concussion protocol.
  • GB Tackle #63
Packers LT Rasheed Walker (quad) is questionable for Week 6 against the Bengals.
Packers LG Aaron Banks (groin/knee), RT Zach Tom (oblique/back), backup OG/C Jacob Monk (hamstring) and CB Nate Hobbs (concussion) are questionable. On the plus side, backup LT Jordan Morgan (knee) will be active. Packers backup OT Anthony Belton (ankle) is out. The Packers are 2-1-1 despite the lengthy offensive line injury list. If the unit can get healthy later this year, this team will be a force to be reckoned with.
  • GB Running Back #8
Packers RB Josh Jacobs (ankle) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 4 against the Cowboys.
Jacobs should handle another high-end RB1 workload against the Cowboys this week. The Packers will be without both RT Zach Tom (oblique) and his direct backup, RT Anthony Belton, who is on the injury report with an ankle injury. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Tom injured his knee on Wednesday. It is worth noting that high-ankle sprains and MCL sprains often share the same injury mechanism. Packers LG Aaron Banks (groin) is doubtful to play. On the plus side, TE Tucker Kraft (knee/elbow) will play.
  • GB Guard #65
Packers LG Aaron Banks (groin) did not practice on Thursday.
Jordan Morgan looks like a candidate to get a full game at guard with Banks injuring himself in Week 3 and not practicing in either of the first two sessions of the week. It won’t keep you away from any Packers — this is the Cowboys defense we’re talking about — but it might make their rushing effectiveness go down a bit.
  • GB Guard #65
Packers LG Aaron Banks (groin) left Green Bay’s Week 3 game against the Browns and did not return.
He played 31 snaps before leaving at halftime, which kicked Jordan Morgan inside and got Green Bay’s other right tackles on the field to replace the similarly-departed Tom. We wouldn’t be surprised if Banks spent some time on the injury report this week at the very least. Green Bay’s offensive line injuries helped contribute to a disappointing loss against the Browns.
  • GB Defensive Lineman #1
Packers DL Micah Parsons (back) is active for Week 2 against the Commanders.
The Packers’ vaunted defense will have its new star pass rusher on the field. Unfortunately, the Packers declared CB Bo Melton, S Zayne Anderson, RT Zach Tom (oblique), LG Aaron Banks (ankle/groin), TE Ben Sims and DL Warren Brinson inactive. Losing both Tom and Banks hurts Jordan Love’s protection. It would be unsurprising to see the Packers dial up quick-hitting pass plays to help reduce pressure from Washington’s pass rush. On the plus side, Packers CB Nate Hobbs (knee) is active.
  • GB Wide Receiver #18
Packers WR Savion Williams (concussion) was limited on Sunday.
Williams missed practice on Friday, so his limited availability is a step in the right direction. He participated in early drill work and sat out for the Packers’ 11-on-11 periods. He was having a strong camp before suffering a concussion. The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman notes that OG Aaron Banks (back) returned to practice in a limited capacity as well.
  • GB Guard #65
Packers agreed to terms with OG Aaron Banks, formerly of the 49ers, on a four-year, $77 million contract.
Banks has served as the 49ers starting left guard for the last three seasons, and will now hope to bolster the Packers’ interior line. He’s allowed just two sacks for his career on 73 pressures, per PFF, and is coming off his highest-graded season to date. The market for interior linemen has exploded early in free agency, as Banks becomes the latest to cash in with his new team.
  • SF Guard #65
49ers coach Kyle Shanahan said G Aaron Banks (knee) and T Jaylon Moore (quad) will miss the final two games of the season.
Banks has an MCL sprain and Moore had a quadriceps strain. Aaron Banks wraps up the third of four years on his rookie deal with a career-best 65.4 PFF blocking grade and will likely profile as a starting guard in the final year of his contract next season. Moore will be a free agent this offseason and has played well in limited time in each of the last two years, he could be an intriguing low-cost addition for a team looking for a swing tackle, or perhaps a team looking to give him a chance to start.
