Colts agreed to a four-year deal with rookie S Brannon Condren.
The Colts drafted the speedy Condren to help stop the run. His immediate impact should be on special teams.
  • NYJ Defensive Back
Colts waived S Brannon Condren and CB Brandon Foster.
Condren was a fourth-round pick back in 2007. He’ll try to latch on elsewhere as a special teamer.
  • LV Defensive Back
Rams signed CB Ricky Manning Jr. and claimed S Brannon Condren off waivers from the Colts.
Manning Jr. has good ball skills and experience, but St. Louis shouldn’t ask him to cover one-on-one much. He could play extensively early with Fakhir Brown (shoulder) out indefinitely. Condren is a fine special teams add.
  • FA Defensive Back #27
Colts signed restricted free agent S Matt Giordano to a one-year, $927,000 contract.
Giordano, 25, has recorded 45 tackles and picked off three passes over the last two seasons. He’s usually the choice to start when Bob Sanders gets hurt, but may be pushed for that role by Brannon Condren this year.
  • MIA Defensive Back
Dolphins re-signed S Courtney Bryan and waived S Brannon Condren.
The Fins are hoping that Bryan proves to be a special teams upgrade.
  • LA Wide Receiver
Rams signed WR Derek Stanley off their practice squad and waived S Brannon Condren.
Condren didn’t make the game-day roster after being claimed him off waivers from the Colts. Stanley is very unlikely to make an impact at receiver.
  • NYJ Defensive Back
    Dolphins signed S Brannon Condren.
Condren was a late-round draft pick of the Colts in 2007. He replaces the recently released Tyrone Culver.
  • NYJ Running Back
Jets signed FB Jason Davis, WR Britt Davis, DB Brannon Condren, DT Matt Matt Kroul, C Michael Parenton, and DT Ty Steinkuhler to reserve/futures contracts.
All of the players spent time on the Jets’ practice squad in 2009. Davis was claimed off waivers from Chicago last summer after seeing game action with the Bears and Raiders in 2008.
  • NYJ Defensive Back
Jets waived S Brannon Condren, K Jared Ballman, and DT Mick Williams.
A fourth-round pick back in 2007, Condren has bounced around as a special teamer the past couple of years. Ballman failed to impress after being brought in as competition for Nick Folk.
