Patriots signed ST Brenden Schooler to a three-year, $9 million contract extension.
Signed as a UDFA out of Texas in 2022, Schooler has only appeared on two defensive snaps since entering the NFL. On the other hand, he’s one of the best special teams aces in the league. He is approaching his 1000th special teams snap and has recovered two fumbles on special teams in each of the past two seasons. Schooler’s new contract will keep him in New England through the 2027 season.
