Miami Herald’s C. Isaiah Smalls II reports that Dolphins RB De’Von Achane “missed at least one session of organized training activities (OTAs) with an unknown injury.”

At this point, all we know is that Achane missed at least one OTA session a few days ago. His expected return timeline is unknown, but the front office has only signed free agent RB Carlos Washington Jr. in Achane’s absence. The team does not seem to be panicking. It’s entirely possible that the team is sidelining Achane out of an abundance of caution. The Dolphins’ first two OTAs occurred on May 18th and 19th. They hosted another today, which could provide more insight, and will go on break until the 26th. We should have an update by then.

Falcons signed WR Chris Blair, P Trenton Gill, DB Tysheem Johnson, DT Ben Stille, OT Andrew Stueber, RB Carlos Washington and DB A.J. Woods to reserve/future deals.

Blair, mostly a special teamer, has played eight games and 48 offensive snaps for the Falcons over the past three seasons.

Falcons RB Carlos Washington Jr. rushed 16 times for 25 yards and one touchdown and caught 1-of-2 targets for 13 yards against the Dolphins on Friday night.

Washington has quietly been competing for the Falcons’ No. 3 RB role with 2024 rookie Jase McClellan, who rushed 9 times for 37 yards and caught 2-of-4 targets for 13 yards. Washington tallied 12 first-team snaps to McClellan’s 10 and forced five missed tackles to McClellan’s one, maintaining an edge over the former Alabama player.
