The linebacker was questionable with a toe injury on Sunday. Atlanta’s bye weeks is in week nine.

He was a big disappointment in 2004, racking up only 57 tackles and making few big plays. Atlanta needs a lot of depth behind their defensive line.

Draft had a heart catheter test Monday morning. He said, ''it has nothing to do with my heart. That’s just how they test your pulmonary [lung] pressure. Mine was fine.’' He’s now using inhalers and working to regain his conditioning.

It’s been a problem for the reserve linebacker for most of camp.

We don’t expect Davis, the team’s first-round pick, to come off the bench for long.

He was unable to practice Thursday, but coach Jim More sounded hopefuly he’ll be ready to play.

He should start on Sunday and is safe to use in IDP leagues.

Draft, who is suffering from a toe injury, is a big surprise. Rod Coleman is still recovering from his car accident. The Falcons defense may not be as fierce as usual.

Now 34 years old, Draft played under defensive coordinator Jim Haslett in St. Louis. He certainly won’t help the Redskins’ run defense, but he does offer versatility and depth. Draft will have to battle to make the club in a reserve capacity.
