    Dolphins signed CB Cornell Armstrong.

    Armstrong signed a reserve/future contract with the Raiders last offseason. He was cut at the end of training camp. His most recent NFL snaps came in Atlanta in 2023. Armstrong, originally a sixth-round pick for Miami in 2019, now returns home to help backfill the snaps vacated by Artie Burns’ season-ending knee injury.

    Falcons re-signed CB Cornell Armstrong to a one-year contract.

    The sixth-year corner started four games for Atlanta in 2022, the first starts of his NFL career. Armstrong, a special teams standout during his time with the Dolphins and Texans, should reprise a significant role on special teams and serve as depth in the secondary for the Falcons. The deal was announced by agent Brett Tessler of Tessler Sports.

    The No. 209 overall pick of the 2018 draft by the Dolphins, 25-year-old Armstrong has carved out a Texans niche as a special teamer.

    Dolphins selected Southern Miss CB Cornell Armstrong with the No. 209 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft.

    A four-year player at Southern Miss, Armstrong recorded five interceptions and 110 tackles in his college career. He was not invited to the Combine, but he measured in at 5-foot-11, 193 pounds at his Pro Day with 4.45 wheels, a 37.5-inch vertical jump, a 10-foot-5 broad jump, and a 7-flat three-cone.

    Dolphins signed sixth round CB Cornell Armstrong to a four-year contract.

    Armstrong made 42 starts at Southern Miss but should be limited to special teams this season. Miami also signed seventh-rounders Quentin Poling and Jason Sanders to rookie deals.
