Cowboys signed seventh-round CB Courtney Brown to a four-year contract.
Brown, a Cal Poly alum, has terrific size. With fellow late-round CB Alan Ball, Brown will try to push Jacques Reeves and Nathan Jones off the roster.

Cowboys rookie DB Courtney Brown is out indefinitely after tearing his biceps in practice last week.
Brown was the team’s second reserve safety with Keith Davis nursing a torn pecs muscle. Usual cornerback Nathan Jones will now slide into that role.

The Cowboys are expected to be without C Andre Gurode (knee) and S Patrick Watkins (ankle) in Week 16.
Corey Procter, who played well after Gurode got hurt in Week 15, will start at center at Carolina. Courtney Brown will back up Ken Hamlin at free safety.

The Cowboys are expected to be without S Pat Watkins (stinger) in Week 5.
Watkins has been filling in for SS Roy Williams. Dallas may have to go with Courtney Brown at free safety and move Ken Hamlin to the strong side against Cincinnati. Brown is a poor tackler, so it’s a downgrade against the run.

Giants signed DB Courtney Brown to a reserve/future contract.
Brown, a 2007 seventh-round pick by Dallas, was out of the NFL last year despite being healthy. It’s safe to say he won’t solve New York’s safety woes.

Giants placed CB Courtney Brown (ankle) on injured reserve, ending his season.
Brown has been in and out of the league since being drafted in the seventh round back in 2007.
