Arizona State senior TE Curtis Hodges (undisclosed) is listed on the depth chart ahead of Thursday’s Las Vegas Bowl against Wisconsin.
Hodges (6'8/237) had missed the last couple of games as he dealt with an injury, but his inclusion on the depth chart is a good sign he’ll suit up. The senior had not been much of a factor in his time with Sun Devils until this season. In 2021, had a career-high 373 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Arizona State senior TE Curtis Hodges (undisclosed) is out this Saturday against Oregon State.
Not surprised that Hodges (6'8/237) will not suit up this Saturday as he didn’t participate in practice all week, what is surprising is why. Hodges and other ASU players were involved in a car accident on Thursday. It’s being reported that this incident is the reason he will not travel with the team. There were apparently no serious injuries reported from the accident, so there could be a possible disciplinary reason and not a health one. Hopefully, we’ll get that information in the coming days. This puts the Sun Devils in a tough spot as they will miss his second-most receiving yards on the team.

Arizona State senior TE Curtis Hodges was involved in a car accident on Thursday.
Hodges (6'8/237) has missed practice this week, and the accident is in no way correlated. He was in the car with other ASU teammates when it collided with another car on Thursday afternoon. Hodges reportedly only suffered a minor superficial wound. As of now, he has the questionable tag due to an undisclosed injury for this week’s matchup against Oregon State. Hodges is essential in the Sun Devil’s offense as he leads the team with 18.6 yards per catch, and just a game behind Utah in the PAC-12 South with two games remaining, they still have a slim chance to take the division.

  • Tight End
Arizona State senior TE Curtis Hodges posted four grabs for 74 yards and a touchdown in Saturday’s 35-21 loss at Utah.
Hodges (6'8/240) has picked up the pace over the past two outings, going for at least 74 receiving yards while posting four grabs in each contest. The visit to the end zone was his first since just about everybody for Sparky scored in a 70-7 romp over rival Arizona on Dec. 11, 2020. It looks like Hodges and QB Jayden Daniels have jelled together rather nicely, giving the Sun Devils a powerful QB/TE pass-catch duo since Ryan Kealy and Todd Heap back in 1999-2000. Arizona State is back at it Oct. 30 against Washington State after the bye.

Arizona State junior WR/TE Curtis Hodges missed Wednesday’s practice, according to Jacob Rudner of 247 Sports.
Hodges (6'8/237) was not at Wednesday’s practice for whatever reason. Though it’s not necessarily the issue right now, Hodges battled shoulder issues earlier in the season. Hodges has caught five passes for 58 yards this season and has not recorded a reception since late October.
  • Tight End
Arizona State junior TE Curtis Hodges is currently dealing with a shoulder injury that has kept him out of practice.
According to Doug Haller of The Athletic, Hodges (6'8/237) was seen at Sunday’s practice with his left arm in a sling. No word has been given with regards to the severity of the injury or how much time the junior tight end could miss. Redshirt senior Tommy Hudson, who caught 13 passes for 66 yards in 2018, is Arizona State’s most experienced tight end heading into the 2019 campaign.

Arizona State offensive coordinator Rob Likens is “excited” about junior TE Curtis Hodges.
Hodges converted from wide receiver and is currently the second-string tight end behind senior TE Tommy Hudson. Likens is intrigued by Hodges but added he “just needs to prove that he can block and be in there and not just every time he runs onto the field he’s going to go out for a pass — that defeats the purpose. He has to prove that he can block, and then we can do some mix-match personnel groupings, which can help us.” If Hodges proves he is capable on the blocking front, we should see a lot more of him this year.

Arizona State freshman WR Curtis Hodges sustained an apparent leg injury during pregame warmups ahead of Saturday’s game against Colorado.
Hodges (6'7/220) was seen limping off the field during warmups. Whether he’ll still be available come kickoff should now be considered an open question.

Arizona State freshman WR Curtis Hodges (undisclosed) will not play against Michigan State.
Hodges (6'7/220) is a complimentary receiver who managed one catch for 11 yards last week. The big receiver, who usually runs with the second team, has an undisclosed injury.
