    Chiefs re-signed Damon Huard.
He was cut last week in a roster crunch. He’ll remain the Chiefs No. 3 QB.
  • SF Quarterback
The Boston Herald believes the Patriots may have interest in bringing back Damon Huard if the Chiefs cut him.
New England doesn’t appear satisfied with Rohan Davey and Kliff Kingsbury behind Tom Brady. Huard spent the last two seasons as Brady’s backup.

Damon Huard met with the Giants yesterday to possibly fill their need for a veteran QB.
The former Patriot worked with new Giants offensive coordinator John Hufnagel in New England. The Giants will likely be thorough in their search for Eli Manning’s mentor.

The Packers met with QB Damon Huard about backing up Brett Favre this season.
Green Bay is frustrated at the lack of progress in the Tim Couch discussions. Huard is also a possibility to head to San Francisco.

Chiefs agreed to contract terms with veteran quarterback Damon Huard Thursday.
Huard is expected to be the No. 3 QB behind Trent Green and Todd Collins. He spent the last two seasons backing up Tom Brady in New England.

Damon Huard completed 1-of-12 passes for 11 yards and two interceptions Saturday.
That’s as bad as it gets. With Todd Collins injured, the Chiefs may look around for a veteran QB.

Damon Huard completed 12-of-20 passes for 140 yards and a TD Sunday.
Huard was forced into action following Trent Green’s injury and did engineer a fourth-quarter scoring drive. But if Green misses any more time, downgrade all Kansas City skill position players.

Chiefs terminated the contract of QB Damon Huard.
This was a roster-cruch type move. But look for New England to at least offer Huard a contract.
  • LA Quarterback
Trent Green “apparently” took the initial snap with the first team at the Chiefs’ OTA workout Tuesday, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
He still split reps equally with Brodie Croyle and Damon Huard, and wants out of Kansas City. The guess still is that Green will be a Dolphin in 2007.
  • ARI Quarterback
Brodie Croyle completed 6-of-11 passes for 82 yards and threw an interception, and a touchdown, in Thursday night’s exhibition.
On his touchdown throw, Croyle’s pass was low to Chris Hannon but the wideout did the rest of the work after the catch and scored from 21 yards out. Croyle then threw a bad INT into the end zone after a Cleo Lemon fumble. The mistake may have cost Croyle a chance at the Week 1 starting job.
