    Ravens waived CB Danny Gorrer.
The move clears a spot for S James Ihedigbo. Gorrer held his own in limited snaps on defense last season, but was primarily a special teamer. Ihedigbo is far more accomplished on special teams.

Bucs claimed CB Danny Gorrer off waivers from the Seahawks.
Gorrer was waived on Tuesday. He appeared in 11 games for the Ravens last season, making five tackles. He’ll provide depth for a Bucs team that could be without Eric Wright (Achilles) in addition to Aqib Talib (suspension) this weekend.

Ravens promoted CB Danny Gorrer from the practice squad.
With both Jimmy Smith (high-ankle sprain) and Chris Carr (hamstring) out for Week 2, Gorrer might actually see a few snaps in the Ravens secondary. He should be primarily used on special teams.

A pulled groin that was supposed to cost Gorrer a week ends up needing to be surgically repaired. He was competing for the nickel job. Gorrer is not expected to miss the entire year.

Ravens placed LCB Danny Gorrer on injured reserve with a torn MCL and PCL, ending his season.
The Ravens also lost RCB Anthony Levine to a concussion in Sunday’s win over Miami, further depleting a cornerback corps that already lost top cover man Jimmy Smith to I.R. Gorrer was technically the Ravens’ nickel back, but was playing regular snaps at left corner. Baltimore will have to dig deep into its cornerback depth, bumping Asa Jackson and Rashaan Melvin up the depth chart.

Ravens claimed CB Danny Gorrer off waivers from the Lions.
Gorrer was waived by the Lions on Monday. He should step in and play heavy snaps right away for the Ravens. Baltimore’s only healthy corners are Lardarius Webb and Tramain Jacobs after they waived Dominique Franks and Chykie Brown on Monday. Gorrer was largely ineffective in 174 snaps for the Lions before earning his walking papers.
