Titans hired Dave Borgonzi as their new linebackers coach.
Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi is Dave’s brother. The latter Borgonzi previously coached linebackers with the Cowboys (2025), Bears (2022-2024) and Colts (2018-2021). He held offensive and defensive assistant roles with the Cowboys and served as a defensive quality control coach with the Buccaneers before that.

Cowboys hired linebackers coach Dave Borgonzi, defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton, and defensive pass-game coordinator Andre Curtis.
The Cowboys made hirings to their linebacker and defensive line groups, while adding a defensive passing game coordinator. Borgonzi worked under Eberflus as linebackers coach in Chicago, while Whitecotton was defensive line coach with the Jets for the past four seasons; both join the Cowboys in the same roles. Curtis was safeties coach under Eberflus with the Bears and now joins him in Dallas as passing game coordinator. Eberflus bolsters his defensive staff as head coach Brian Schottenheimer’s coaching group starts to take shape.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Cardinals will interview Bears LBs coach Dave Borgonzi for their defensive coordinator role.
The Cardinals recently released defensive coordinator Vance Joseph from his contract following the hire of Jonathan Gannon. Still in need of a defensive coordinator, Borgonzi is one of the first candidates the Cardinals will interview for the position. Gannon and Borgonzi served as positional coaches on the Colts coaching staff from 2018-2020, with Gannon coaching the defensive backs and Borgonzi handling the linebackers. Borgonzi has also spent time with the Buccaneers and Cowboys but has never served in a defensive coordinator role.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports Colts LBs Dave Borgonzi coach could follow new Bears coach Matt Eberflus to Chicago.
The Colts’ LBs coach since 2018, it sounds like Borgonzi could be the favorite to serve as Eberflus’ defensive coordinator. Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer reports Colts safeties coach Alan Williams could replace Eberflus in Indy, though Breer did not report the same for Borgonzi. It could still be an option of course. Borgonzi began his coaching career with Syracuse in 2006 and has been in the NFL since 2011.
