    Bills released S Dean Marlowe.
Marlowe re-signed with Buffalo on a one-year deal earlier this offseason, marking his third stint with the team. Playing primarily on special teams, the veteran safety saw some time on defense late last season after Damar Hamlin’s medical emergency. Marlowe has started 18 of 59 games in his career and could end up on another roster to provide depth to a secondary.
  • Bills re-signed S Dean Marlowe to a one-year contract.
The eight-year veteran returns for his third stint with the Bills on a one-year contract. Marlowe missed the first eight weeks of the 2022 season before being utilized primarily on special teams until Damar Hamlin’s on-field medical issues in Week 17. He then went on to start the final regular season game in addition to both playoff contests for the Bills. Expect Marlowe to primarily serve in a depth role for the Bills heading into 2023.

  • Bills acquired S Dean Marlowe from the Falcons for a 2023 seventh-round pick.
Marlowe played 700 defensive snaps for the Lions in 2021 but has always been more of a special-teamer than anything. But with Buffalo dealing with Jordan Poyer being hurt yet again, as well as Micah Hyde being out for the season, Marlowe might have a shot at legitimate defensive playing time for them in the short-term.

  • Falcons signed S Dean Marlowe, formerly of the Lions, to a one-year contract.
The ex-Panther and Bill started a career-high nine games for the Lions’ rebuilding defense in 2021. He was not an asset, though he was not a liability, either. As is the case with essentially every Falcons position group, they need help at safety. Soon-to-be 30-year-old Marlowe still profiles as a depth addition.

  • FA Wide Receiver
    Bills re-signed WR Andre Roberts.
Roberts had been released on Saturday. He, along with S Dean Marlowe, was brought back to the team’s 53-man roster on Sunday. Roberts, an All-Pro special teams player in 2018, will serve as Buffalo’s punt and kickoff returner. The Bills cut Roberts and Marlowe to keep starting guard Jon Feliciano and rookie WR Isaiah Hodgins on the roster and to ensure they were eligible to return from IR this season.

  • Panthers placed S Dean Marlowe on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, ending his season.
The second-year UDFA played three snaps on defense. He’ll be back to fight for a special teams role in 2017.
