Texans DT Deljuan Robinson is running with the first-team defense while Travis Johnson sits with a hamstring injury.
Coach Gary Kubiak insists Robinson a/k/a “Temp 66" is a legitimate threat to Johnson’s starting job: “He’s been a starter since he walked on the field at OTAs, and he’s going to be tough to get out of there. He’s earned the right, the players respect him, and we’re counting on him.”

The Texans have opened their defensive tackle positions to competition.
Deljuan Robinson started over Amobi Okoye in Week 5. Houston is going with whichever two tackles practice the best on game day. Okoye was better coming off the bench in pass situations and may continue in that role.

The Texans tendered exclusive rights free agent DT Deljuan Robinson.
Originally undrafted out of Mississippi State, Robinson fell out of the Texans’ rotation last year after racking up 28 tackles the previous season. He only had four in 2009, and will be on the roster bubble in training camp.

Texans waived DT Deljuan Robinson, LB Will Patterson, OT Cole Pemberton, DT Malcolm Sheppard, OT Adam Stenavich, and WR Derrick Townsel.
Patterson, Townsel, Pemberton, and Sheppard were undrafted rookies. Stenavich played at Michigan. Robinson had fallen out of favor in recent years.
