Pierson Prioleau (hamstring) was upgraded to questionable and Vernon Fox (groin) is called doubtful. Demetric Evans and undrafted rookie Chris Wilson will play in place of Daniels, which doesn’t bode well for the ‘Skins’ pass rush.

Demetric Evans should start in his place, with rookie Chris Wilson subbing in on passing downs. Daniels hasn’t been productive in the first five weeks.

Daniels, 35, is a leader and potent against the run, so his loss will be felt. But the Redskins’ pass rush could ultimately benefit. Chris Wilson, who had four sacks in very limited duty last year (Daniels had just three as a full time starter) will play more along with Demetric Evans. The extent of Daniels’ injury is unknown, but we assume he’ll need surgery. It may end his career.

His consecutive starts streak will end at 132 games. Taylor had “blood released from his left calf muscle.” The Redskins won’t say how long Taylor is out for. Demetric Evans will start at left end in his place.

Evans has just four tackles this season as a reserve lineman, so it’s not a major loss. Rookie Ricky Jean-Francois is expected fill in as a rotational defensive lineman.

Evans missed two games with a sprained shoulder. He’ll resume his role as a rotational defensive lineman.

He’ll likely be used to spell three technique Cornelius Griffin, another aging pass rusher. The Skins would love for Erasmus James to take Griffin’s place on nickel downs, but Demetric Evans is more likely to be the No. 3 end.

Erasmus James and Chris Wilson will also see time in a rotation at left defensive end. The Cowboys will likely focus on Andre Carter at right end with Taylor out.

Evans notched 22 tackles and three sacks in 2005 and is a steady reserve. He’s got two more scheduled visits for next week.
