Jaguars signed Norfolk State EDGE De’Shaan Dixon.
After sitting out in the 2020 season, Dixon (6'5/235) came back with force in 2021 as he led the MEAC with nine sacks and was second with 12.5 TFLs, earning first-team All-MEAC honors. His draft stock was boosted with a good showing in the East-West Shrine Game and HBCU Legacy Bowl. He can rip and drive through initial contact with scouts praising his hand technique. He excels in a two-point stance in a 3-4 defense with his length and speed, but if he wants to keep that up at the next level, he needs to gain some size. He can sometimes play with his body too high, which makes it more challenging for him to take some down on initial contact. He needs to gain some strength to be viable in the NFL.
