Titans selected Stephen F. Austin WR Dominique Edison with the No. 206 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
Edison scored 17 times on 64 grabs with a 15.1 YPC average as a senior. The small-school thing obviously was working against him and Edison is a project, but he has a vertical threat skill set at 6'2/204 with 4.47 wheels. The Titans are probably about ready to cut bait on Paul Williams.
  • HOU Wide Receiver
Paul Williams is listed behind sixth-round WR Dominique Edison on the Titans’ most recent depth chart.
Edison is a small-school project learning a complex offense for the first time. The Titans appear ready to cut bait on Williams, a 2007 third-round pick who just hasn’t progressed.
  • HOU Wide Receiver
Titans signed sixth-round WR Dominique Edison to a four-year contract.
Tennessee’s had little success with mid- to late-round wideouts (see Chris Davis, Joel Filani, Paul Williams, Jonathan Orr) and Edison is a project out of Stephen F. Austin. For Edison’s sake, he’d be better off landing elsewhere.
  • HOU Wide Receiver
    Titans waived WR Dominique Edison.
The Titans were worried about losing Edison through waivers in early September, so they kept him on the final roster. They’ll add him to the practice squad if he squeaks through this time.
  • HOU Wide Receiver
Titans sixth-round WR Dominique Edison caught five passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns against the Packers Thursday.
There’s no hope of sneaking him through waivers to the practice squad now. Edison caught an 8-yard TD from Vince Young and later added a 31-yarder from Patrick Ramsey. He’s locked up the fifth receiver role and could enter the season as high as No. 4 on the depth chart.
  • HOU Wide Receiver
Titans signed WR Dominique Edison off their practice squad.
The Titans are thin at wideout with Justin Gage (back) out. Edison was the team’s sixth-round pick this season and is a raw project. It’s unclear how long Gage will be out.
  • HOU Wide Receiver
Seahawks signed WRs Dominique Edison and Patrick Williams to reserve/future contracts.
Edison played five games with the Titans last season in his rookie year but failed to make a catch. He has nice athleticism, but the former sixth-round pick remains very raw.
  • HOU Wide Receiver
Titans waived WR Dominique Edison, WR Paul Williams, DT Joe Joseph, OG Nick Howell, and OT Nevin McCaskill.
It looks like the Titans will keep six receivers this year, with rookie Marc Mariani taking the final spot. Edison is a good bet for the practice squad, but it’s time to give up the ghost on 2007 third-rounder Williams.
  • HOU Wide Receiver
Cowboys released WR Dominique Edison with an injury settlement.
The injury wasn’t disclosed. Edison was claimed off waivers from Seattle early in camp when the Cowboys were banged up at wideout. He’s no longer needed.
