The Cardinals secondary desperately needs their bye week.

Green is questionable, as well as fullback Harold Marrow (ankle).

The Virginia Tech product may team with Antrel Rolle to form Arizona’s cover combo of the future.

Antrel Rolle has been moved to nickel back. Teams usually love to test the Cardinals’ cornerbacks, so Green and Hood could be sleepers as IDPs.

Coach Ken Whisenhunt downplayed the change as an evaluation of Rod Hood, but Rolle has had a tough preseason and this move was expected. Whisenhunt should name his starter this week, but they’ll probably be Hood and Eric Green

Coach Ken Whisenhunt has praised Eric Green and Rod Hood for their progress and he probably doesn’t care about Rolle’s draft status. Rolle is normally an excellent DB in IDP leagues because teams are willing to go after him, but losing his starting gig would remove him completely from the radar.

Green was on crutches after practice, and his status for Sunday is not yet known. Antrel Rolle would take his place in the starting lineup with Ralph Brown at nickel back. With S Adrian Wilson likely out, this could further boost the Cincy offense.
