Former Colts and Saints CB Glenn Sharpe has been charged with murder in Georgia.
Sharpe, 28, was arrested by DeKalb County Police for the February 2 murder of Christopher Galloway. He is accused of shooting Galloway three times at his Lawrenceville home. Sharpe received a Super Bowl ring as a member of the Saints’ practice squad in 2009. The former Miami Hurricane was arrested for drug possession in August of 2010, and waived 18 days later by the Colts.
  • ATL Defensive Back
    Falcons cut S Erick Brock.
He’s a practice squad player. The Falcons also released cornerback Glenn Sharpe, offensive tackle Adam Speer, offensive guard Ryan Stanchek, cornerback Tony Tiller, center Ben Wilkerson, and wide receiver Chandler Williams.
  • IND Defensive Back
Saints signed CB Glenn Sharpe, OT Na’Shan Goddard, and DT Earl Heyman to reserve/futures contracts.
Heyman spent 2009 on the practice squad while Goddard and Sharpe were added in January. All three are longshots to make the final roster in 2010.
  • IND Defensive Back
Falcons promoted CB Glenn Sharpe from their practice squad.
Sharpe takes the roster spot of Antoine Harris and is ticketed for special teams duty.
  • IND Defensive Back
    Saints waived CB Glenn Sharpe.
Sharpe has bounced around practice squads since going undrafted out of Miami (FL) a few years ago. The Saints have the deepest corner depth chart in the league, so he’s better off not on the roster heading to training camp.

Former Falcons and Saints CB Glenn Sharpe was arrested and charged with drug possession on Wednesday, according to Gwinnett, Georgia police.
Sharpe was stopped for speeding and police say they discovered Metronidazole, antibiotic inside a prescription bottle and several Vicodin pills. A .9mm pistol was also found. Sharpe was on the Saints practice squad last year, but has been out of football since then.
  • IND Defensive Back
    Colts signed CB Glenn Sharpe.
It’s odd timing for the character conscious Colts, as Sharpe was arrested for drug possession earlier in the month. He’s seen time on the practice squads of the Saints and Falcons the past two seasons.
  • FA Running Back
Colts waived RB Javarris James, S Terrell Skinner, LB Vuna Tuihalamaka, WR Taj Smith, and CB Glenn Sharpe.
James’ lone claim to fame is being Edge’s little brother. He never improved after his freshman season at Miami (FL), and isn’t talented enough for the pros. Skinner, an in-the-box safety, could be headed for the practice squad.
