  • IND Safety #32
Colts placed S Julian Blackmon (shoulder) on the IR.
The move means Blackmon will be out the final two weeks of the regular season but could return if the Colts make a deep run in the playoffs. It’s a big blow for the Colts defense as Blackmon was in the midst of a career year in the final year of his rookie deal. The 25-year-old moved to strong safety this season full-time and collected career high four interceptions, eight pass breakups, two fumble recoveries, 88 tackles and five tackles for loss. The team signed safety Henry Black off its practice squad to fill Blackmon’s place on the active roster.
  • IND Safety #38
Free agent DB Henry Black is visiting with the Chiefs on Tuesday.
Black played 262 defensive snaps for the Packers last year and was a core special teamer with 73% of the team’s special teams snaps. The Packers used him almost evenly between slot corner, deep safety, and box player and he finished with a 44.9 PFF coverage grade. He could compete to be a Daniel Sorensen replacement in Kansas City.
