ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports Jalen Carter (heel) is expected to play in Week 7 against the Vikings.
Carter practiced in full on Wednesday but was downgraded to limited sessions on the following two days before being listed as questionable. The team was likely managing his reps closely to ensure the injury didn’t get worse. Carter has had a quiet start to the year with one TFL, seven total tackles, and no sacks. A date with Carson Wentz will give him a good chance to get on the board.

Eagles DT Jalen Carter (heel) was limited on Thursday.
On the plus side, fellow DT Jordan Davis (shoulder) continues to practice in full and LG Landon Dickerson (ankle) at least remained limited rather than experiencing a downgrade. Hopefully, this is just a pre-planned rest day for Carter, who sat out in the Eagles’ Week 6 upset loss to the Giants. The G-Men ran the ball aggressively, totaling 172 yards and four touchdowns on 48 carries. The Vikings could employ a similar game plan with RB Jordan Mason if Carter is again out this week.

Eagles DT Jalen Carter (heel) is practicing in full for Week 7 against the Vikings.
Left guard Landon Dickerson (ankle) was limited in Wednesday’s practice. Both players missed the team’s Week 6 loss to the Giants. Carter has already told reporters he plans to play on Sunday versus the Vikings. Dickerson isn’t guaranteed to return this week, but a limited practice is a step in the right direction for the veteran.

Eagles declared DT Jalen Carter (heel) inactive for Week 6 against the Giants.
Carter was added to the injury report yesterday, so his absence is hardly surprising. The Eagles’ defense is a talented unit overall, but losing one of the best defensive linemen in football is a big deal. The Giants will likely attack the Eagles’ interior defensive line via an aggressive rushing attack. The Eagles also declared LG Landon Dickerson, TE Grant Calcaterra, CB Mac McWilliams and WR Xavier Gipson inactive for Week 6 against the Giants. On the plus side, LB Nakobe Dean (knee) will make his 2025 debut tonight.

Eagles DT Jalen Carter (heel) is questionable for Week 6 against the Giants.
Linebacker Nakobe Dean (knee) is also listed as questionable. Carter was added to the injury report on Wednesday as a limited participant before being listed as questionable. A surprise addition to the injury report this late in the week is typically a bad sign, and the fact that the Eagles have a short turnaround to Thursday’s game will only compound the issue. Philly will still be favored by at least a touchdown with or without Carter, but his absence would make life a little easier for Jaxson Dart in his third NFL start.

Eagles DT Jalen Carter (shoulder) isn’t on Philadelphia’s final injury report for Week 3 against the Rams.
Carter got in a full practice today and yesterday. He’ll be a big part of Philadelphia’s defensive game plan, per usual, as they attempt to disrupt the Rams’ banged-up interior line.

Eagles DT Jalen Carter (shoulder) practiced in full on Thursday.
The Rams’ offensive line health is improving but LG Steve Avila remains sidelined by an ankle injury. His absence could be costly with Carter’s health improving. The Week 3 matchup between the Eagles and Rams might be a pass-heavy affair, which would bode positively for Carter’s sack productivity.

Eagles DT Jalen Carter (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday’s practice.
Carter popped up on the injury report with a shoulder injury, getting in limited reps on Wednesday. It does not seem to be a major issue for the Eagles’ defensive centerpiece, just enough to limit him to begin the week. Barring setbacks, expect Carter to play in Week 3.

Eagles DT Jalen Carter was fined $57,222 for spitting on Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Week 1.
Carter will forfeit his game check for Week 1 and won’t be suspended additional games for spitting on Dak Prescott in Thursday’s season opener. The NFL considered his ejection from Week 1 sufficient enough in terms of missed time, so the $57,222 game check forfeiture will be the only additional punishment on Carter. Head coach Nick Sirianni said any punishment or conversation from the Eagles will happen “in-house.”

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the league is “reviewing last night’s spitting incident for potential additional discipline against Eagles DT Jalen Carter.”
This was expected. Carter’s decision to spit on Dak Prescott in last night’s season-opener led to an immediate ejection of the third-year lineman. Carter didn’t log a snap in Thursday’s contest, which could mean the league will effectively view his ejection as a one-game suspension, but we’ll know where things officially stand once the review concludes. Prescott, who was also seen spitting in Carter’s direction beforehand, is “unlikely to face any (discipline) for his role,” per Pelissero. He also notes that historically, the league has dealt more fines than suspensions toward players who were ejected for spitting.
