Falcons declared WR Jamal Agnew, CB AJ Terrell, OL Jack Nelson, WR Casey Washington, and DL Sam Roberts inactive for Week 3 against the Panthers.
Agnew has been dealing with a groin injury that caused him to miss Week 2. He did not practice all week and will now miss Week 3 against the Panthers. Also out is Casey Washington (concussion) as the Falcons will have to rotate around the injuries for the lower half of the receiving depth chart. Terrell was ruled out earlier in the week with a hamstring issue after leaving Week 2 with the injury.

Falcons in-house reporter Tori McElhaney believes UDFA WR Nick Nash has long odds of making the 53-player roster, but notes “there absolutely could be a practice squad spot for him.”
Undrafted free agents always have an uphill climb toward a spot on the 53-player roster. Nash intrigued the dynasty community by leading 2024 FBS wide receivers in targets (171), receptions (104), yards (1,382) and receiving touchdowns (16). McElhaney projects Drake London, Darnell Mooney, Ray-Ray McCloud and KhaDarel Hodge are locked in as the Falcons’ top four wide receivers. WR/KR Jamal Agnew “could be the Falcons’ return man.” WRs Chris Blair and Casey Washington could also be ahead of Nash. He is not relevant in re-draft formats at this time.

Falcons signed WR Jamal Agnew, formerly of the Steelers, to a one-year contract.
Agnew spent last season on the Steelers practice squad after signing with them during the offseason. He hasn’t played a regular season snap since suffering a gruesome leg injury during the 2023 season while with the Jaguars. Entering his age-30 season, Agnew could provide a spark to the Falcons’ special teams unit and perhaps see some work in a gadget role similar to what we saw during his best years in Jacksonville.

Steelers signed WR Jamal Agnew, formerly of the Jaguars.
Agnew suffered a gruesome leg break last January in his final season with the Jaguars, where he was an all-pro kicker returner and an explosive gadget player over three seasons. Agnew, who had 61 receptions over three years in Jacksonville, could become the Steelers’ primary returner in the coming weeks. He likely won’t get much run as a wideout in the Pittsburgh offense.

Jaguars HC Doug Pederson said Jamal Agnew suffered a lower leg fracture in Week 17’s win over the Panthers and is done for the season.
Agnew is a special teams ace and offensive weapon for the Jaguars. He’s caught only 14 passes for 225 yards and one touchdown this season but is capable of breaking any game open at a moment’s notice. The veteran receiver is in the final year of a three-year deal with the Jaguars and will, in all likelihood, enter free agency in the coming months. He’ll likely play in a similar role wherever he lands next.

Jaguars WR Jamal Agnew (ankle) is questionable to return to Week 17.
Agnew and quarterback C.J. Beathard connected on a beautiful 48-yard pass before Agnew was injured on the tackle. He was down on the field for a while before leaving, throwing his helmet to the ground, and heading into the blue medical tent. With Zay Jones and Christian Kirk both out, Agnew had been playing a bigger role in the Jaguars passing attack on Sunday. His injury would likely leave more opportunities for rookie Parker Washington.

Jamal Agnew caught both targets for 70 yards and a touchdown in the Jaguars’ Week 15 loss to the Ravens.
Agnew scored the only points of the game for a Jaguars team that committed numerous mistakes throughout. Agnew broke free of corner coverage down the sideline and outran the safety for a 65-yard score in the second half. He’ll remain a shaky fantasy bet moving forward as the fourth option through the air for the Jaguars.

Jaguars opened the 21-day practice window for WR Jamal Agnew.
Agnew has been on injured reserve with shoulder and rib injuries. He could return this week against the Ravens and see more routes than usual with Christian Kirk (core) done for the season. Agnew, a kick returner who has nine catches on the season, can be stashed in deeper fantasy formats.
  • JAC Wide Receiver #39
Jaguars WR Jamal Agnew (shoulder/ribs) does not practice on Wednesday.
Agnew had been getting extra looks with Zay Jones sidelined with a knee injury, but he remains a distant option in the passing game behind Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk. He has just nine catches for 90 yards on the season.

Jaguars WR Jamal Agnew (quad) is questionable for Week 5 vs Buffalo.
Agnew missed the first of two London games with his quad injury. A limited week of practice gives him a chance to return Sunday. With Parker Washington (knee) out, Jacksonville would be down both its kick returners if Agnew doesn’t play.
