Chiefs signed DE Janarius Robinson, formerly of the Raiders.
Robinson was a fourth-round pick of the Vikings in 2021, but injuries slowed him early in his career, and he didn’t make his NFL debut until 2023. He appeared in six games for the Raiders in 2023 and played in 10 games while making one start last season. In 16 career games, Robinson has totaled 13 tackles and 1.5 sacks. It’s safe to say he’ll need to battle to make the Chiefs’ 53-man roster this offseason.
  • Raiders EDGE Janarius Robinson was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
Robinson was reportedly arrested early Tuesday morning on the Las Vegas strip, a situation the team said they “are aware of.” Robinson was a fourth-round draft pick of the Vikings in 2021 and has appeared in six games during his career. He first took the field this season and totaled eight tackles and one sack in limited action.

    Eagles signed EDGE Janarius Robinson.
Robinson, a 2021 fourth-round pick, was on Minnesota’s practice squad. He spent the entirety of his first year on injured reserve. He’ll be a depth addition as the Eagles look to replace Derek Barnett (ACL) on the defensive line.

    Vikings waived EDGE Janarius Robinson.
The 134th overall pick in last year’s draft, Robinson missed his entire rookie season to injury and is now out under the new Minnesota regime. He tested well coming out Florida State and has the length at 6'5/263 to get another chance elsewhere.

Vikings placed DE Janarius Robinson on injured reserve.
The Vikings added Robinson in the fourth round of the draft this spring. Robinson’s injury is unknown but the timing of Minnesota bringing back Everson Griffen, who signed with them this morning, makes even more sense now. A pass-rush specialist who didn’t exactly stuff the stat sheets at Florida State, Robinson was unlikely to play a significant role early in his career. Once healthy and activated from injured reserve, Robinson will look to earn some snaps on obvious passing downs.

Vikings signed fourth-round DE Janarius Robinson to a four-year contract.
Robinson (6’5/263) parlayed his four-star prep billing into a list of offers from several prominent schools such as Alabama, USC, Florida and Georgia among several others. His length is almost unbelievable, as the Panama City, FL product’s arms measured 35 ¼” with a 86 ¼” wingspan. Robinson led FSU in sacks last year with 3.0 while pacing the team in TFL’s in 2019 with 9.0, however in totality you’d like to see more than 8.0 sacks over a 42 game career. Production never particularly matched his gifts. In run support, poor balance leaves him reaching for ball carriers, causing him to record a terrible 26 percent missed tackle rate in 2020. Robinson didn’t get the most out of his enticing physical traits and really didn’t start to put it all together until last season. His bend is average but his speed-to-power conversion and strong 10 ⅞” hands allow him to dislodge a blocker’s anchor. He doesn’t have a developed set of counters and can get stuck on blocks. Robinson helped his draft stock on his pro day, posting above average grades in every testing metric for a stellar 9.33 RAS. Robinson needs polish, but he is a rare Day 3 defensive end prospect who could develop into a starter with proper seasoning.

Florida State redshirt junior DE Janarius Robinson was ejected for targeting in the second half of Saturday’s 31-13 win against N.C. State.
Robinson (6'5/261) will be suspended for the first half of the game Oct. 12 at Clemson after next week’s bye. Redshirt senior Adonis Thomas might be called upon to fill in for the edge rusher against the Tigers in place of Robinson.

Four-star DE Janarius Robinson committed to Florida State in September, 2014.
Robinson hails from Panama City, Florida, and earned his high school licks at Bay High School. The 6-foot-5, 247-pound defender checks in at No. 103 on the ESPN 300. The World Wide Leader’s scouting report cautions that while he does have excellent outward size, he “still possesses a lean build and needs to continue to work to fill out his lengthy frame.” He’s raw enough in his technique that he might not see the field immediately in 2016, but with his brute strength and physical tools, he could make a legitimate impact down the road.
