Raiders signed seventh-round CB Jeremy Ware to a four-year contract, including a $62,000 signing bonus.

The only Michigan State player drafted in April, Ware was just a one-year starter for the Spartans. The Raiders, though, are intrigued by his speed after Ware ran in the 4.3s at his Pro Day. He’ll be on the bubble in camp.

The second best Chris Johnson in the NFL is currently serving as the team’s nickel back, a position Jeremy Ware would take over should Johnson sit. Michael Huff could also see some time at cornerback according to Jerry McDonald of ANG Newspapers.
