Coach Nick Saban said offensive lineman Joe Toledo will be sidelined for up to several weeks after sustaining an unspecified left knee injury on Tuesday.
“Joe Toledo is not that hurt, he’ll be out day-to-day,” Saban said. “It may be a few days, it may be a few weeks.” With Toledo questionable for the Sept. 7 opener against Pittsburgh, Bennie Anderson will likely be the starter at right guard.
  • PHI Guard
Seahawks signed OL Joe Toledo, formerly of the Seahawks.
Toledo, 27, has mostly been out of the game since being pegged as a good fit for a zone-blocking scheme coming out of Washington in 2006. He’ll vie for a backup job at guard and right tackle for Alex Gibbs in training camp.
  • PHI Guard
Dolphins placed G Joe Toledo and CB Andre’ Goodman on training camp PUP.
This PUP only means that players will not be available when camp starts, but they can be removed at any time. Goodman’s status for Week 1 is unclear.
  • PHI Guard
Dolphins offensive lineman Joe Toledo underwent surgery intended to further repair a broken foot.
It’s his third surgery since joining the Dolphins last April. He may lose his chance to start if he misses too much practice time as Miami could start two rookies.
  • PHI Guard
Dolphins placed G Joe Toledo on the Physically Unable to Perform list.
Toledo, who has a foot injury, will be eligible to return in Week 7.
  • PHI Guard
Dolphins G Joe Toledo will undergo surgery to repair a broken left foot.
Toledo has apparently been practicing on the injury, and hopes to be ready for the start of training camp. He may lose his chance to start if he misses too much practice time as Miami could start two rookies.
  • FA Tight End
Dolphins TE David Martin (groin) was cleared to practice.
If he is active and starting this week, Martin could be a decent TE2 or low-end bye week option against a Bills defense that is thin at linebacker. T Joe Toledo (foot), who is currently on the PUP list, practiced for the first time since before training camp.
  • PHI Guard
Dolphins did not activate G Joe Toledo from the Physically Unable to Perform list, ending his season.
Toledo underwent foot surgery back in June and had been practicing, but the team didn’t deem him ready enough to help out during the final five games.
  • PHI Guard
    Dolphins waived OL Joe Toledo.
Toledo, a college tight end, looked promising when he was taken in the 2006 fourth round, but recurring foot injuries have kept him from seeing the field.
  • TB Wide Receiver
49ers waived WR Maurice Price, TE Joe Jon Finley, OLB Jay Moore, OT Joe Toledo, ILB Mark Washington, and LB Justin Roland.
Moore had the best shot to make the team in this group, but he’s shown little pass-rush ability and battled injuries since being drafted in the 2007 fourth round. Finley, Roland, and Toledo could go on the practice squad.
