Free agent LS Jon Condo will not return to the Raiders.
Oakland’s snapper of snaps longer than normal snaps since 2006, Condo turns 37 before next season.
  • SF Linebacker #59
49ers LS Jon Condo announced his retirement from the NFL after 14 seasons.
Condo, 38, spent 11 of his years with the Raiders, earning a couple Pro Bowl nominations. Condo played in one game for the Niners before deciding to hang up the cleats. San Francisco signed veteran LS Garrison Sanborn to take Condo’s place.
  • DET Tight End
Raiders re-signed exclusive rights free agent TE John Madsen, WR Chris McFoy, LS Jon Condo, LB Ricky Brown, and OT Mark Wilson.
Madsen is basically a wideout playing tight end. He caught eight balls for 102 yards in 2007. Oakland is especially high on Wilson as a left tackle prospect. There’s an outside chance he’ll get a look there along with Kwame Harris.
  • SF Linebacker #59
Raiders LS Jon Condo has been diagnosed with a concussion.
Anyone who watched Monday night’s game knows this is a big deal, as Condo’s fill-in Travis Goethel botched three snaps, essentially costing the Raiders the game. It would be tempting fate of the highest order if the Raiders opted against making a roster move and rolled with Goethel in Condo’s absence.

Raiders LS Jon Condo left Monday night’s game in the first half with a head injury and will not return.
Linebacker Travis Goethel replaced him and on his first opportunity snapped a ground ball to punter Shane Lechler to set the Chargers up at the Raiders 39-yard-line.
  • SF Linebacker #59
    Raiders re-signed LS Jon Condo.
Condo has been carefully snapping the ball longer than a typical snap distance in Oakland since 2006.
  • SF Linebacker #59
Raiders placed LS Jon Condo on injured reserve with a shoulder injury, ending his season.
Condo was injured in Sunday’s win over the Broncos, forcing the Raiders to go for a late two-point conversion when an extra point was the clear play. Thomas Gafford will snap for Weeks 15-17. Condo has been the Raiders’ long snapper since 2007, and is signed through next season.
  • SF Linebacker #59
Raiders re-signed restricted free agent LS Jon Condo to a one-year, $1.684 million contract.
A Pro Bowler last season, Condo combines with K Sebastian Janikowski and P Shane Lechler to form easily the league’s priciest corps of special teamers.
  • SF Linebacker #59
The Raiders have extended a second-round tender to restricted free agent LS Jon Condo.
Oakland really likes its long snapper. Condo was tendered at the lowest level last year and garnered no interest. He’ll get a generous raise for 2010.
  • SF Linebacker #59
Raiders signed LS Jon Condo to a three-year extension through 2016.
Condo was previously signed through only 2013 at $1.2 million. The 32-year-old has been the Raiders’ deep snapper since the 2007 season.
