Ravens agreed to terms with P Jordan Stout, formerly of the Ravens, on a three-year, $12.3 million contract.
New Giants coach John Harbaugh must really love this guy, as he was in Baltimore when the Ravens made him a fourth-round pick in 2022. This is the richest deal in NFL history for a punter. 27-year-old Stout was indeed a first-team All Pro in 2025, while the field position game is more important than ever with short kickoff fields and punters growing ever more talented and sophisticated. The G-Men also have a rookie quarterback contract. That’s the long way of saying they can afford this kind of splurge at a non-premium position.

Ravens selected Penn State P Jordan Stout with the No. 130 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.
On a hot streak all draft weekend, the Ravens conduct a heat check with a fourth-round punter. Stout (6'3/209) is coming off a successful 2021 season in which he recorded 67 punts with an average of 46 yards and a long of 76. He pinned 36 of those inside the 20-yard line and showed good progression between 2020 and 2021. He is also tied for second at Penn State in having three field goals of 50 or more yards (50 vs. Ohio State, 2020; 57 vs. Pitt, 2019; 53 vs. Idaho, 2019). Stout could be an in-house kicking option should injury befall the GOAT Justin Tucker.

Virginia Tech redshirt sophomore K Jordan Stout transferred to Penn State.
#KickerBlurbs. Stout was a touchback king last year, finishing as the FBS’ fourth-ranked kicker in terms of touchback percentage (84.5%). Stout probably only would have transferred to a place where he could start, so expect to see his big leg out there in 2019 or 2020.

Virginia Tech redshirt sophomore K Jordan Stout entered the NCAA transfer portal in April.
Stout (6'2/197) stuck it out with the Hokies during spring practice -- and was in competition with incumbent starting field goal K Brian Johnson -- but opted to bounce from the program when all was said and done. Arkansas and Penn State have both subsequently offered to the redshirt sophomore, who continues to consider his various options. His loss most notably stings for Virginia Tech on kickoffs, as those boots were Stout’s speciality. Stout’s 84.5-percent touchback hit rate was fourth best in the entire FBS last season. Look for Johnson or Caleb Quick to fill that role now that Stout is off looking for a new home.
