Rams signed seventh-round DT Keith Jackson to a three-year contract.

  • LAC Defensive Lineman
    Rams released DT Keith Jackson.
The seventh-round pick was trying to earn a spot as a run-stopper on the Rams’ defensive line. Jackson, the son of the Hall-of-Fame tight end, showed some promise at Arkansas, but is undersized. He’s the type of player who could’ve been developed in NFL Europa, but the league went under.
  • DET Running Back
Chargers waived RB Eldra Buckley, DE Andre Coleman, NT Keith Jackson, TE Keith Grennan, DT Lamar Divens, LB Antwan Applewhite, LB Erik Bakhtiari, WR Gary Banks, S Tra Battle, CB Josh Bell, TE Wade Betschart, and SS Brian Bonner.
Buckley was buried on the depth chart. Applewhite is a practice squad candidate. Jackson is the son of the former Hall of Fame tight end.
