Packers signed K Lucas Havrisik, OT Brant Banks, DL Dante Barnett, OG Karsen Barnhart, DL Anthony Campbell, TE McCallan Castles, OT Dalton Cooper, TE Drake Dabney, DL James Ester, CB Tyron Herring, LB Jamon Johnson, RB Damien Martinez, S Mark Perry, WR Will Sheppard, RB Pierre Strong Jr. and TE Messiah Swinson to reserve/futures contracts.
Havrisik hit 4-of-4 field goals and 7-of-9 extra points this year, and the Packers seemed to be developing him as kicker of the future — whatever that means in the NFL — while letting him stay on the practice squad. With Brandon McManus’ job officially under scrutiny, it’s possible he eventually gets the Packers kicker gig.

    Packers waived K Lucas Havrisik.
In three games with the Packers this season, Havrisik converted 4-of-4 field goals and 7-of-9 extra point attempts. His services are no longer needed with K Brandon McManus (quad) off the injury report. The Packers also signed WR Will Sheppard to the active roster and elevated LB Jamon Johnson and S Jaylin Simpson from the practice squad.

Packers K Brandon McManus is inactive for Week 11 against the Giants.
34-year-old McManus is missing too much time with injury for a kicker this season. Lucas Havrisik will handle kicking duties today in New York. He’s a mediocre fantasy option with the Pack’s offense really going through it right now.

Packers K Brandon McManus (quad) is questionable for Green Bay’s Week 8 game against the Steelers.
McManus practiced in a limited setting on Thursday and Friday. If he’s not able to go in Week 8, Lucas Havrisik would take the reins as Green Bay’s kicker again.

Packers K Brandon McManus (quad) is questionable for Green Bay’s Week 7 game against the Cardinals.
It would seem extremely questionable to us from the outside as McManus has not practiced all week and Matt LaFleur has continued to be dour about his prospects of returning. Lucas Havrisik is in line to kick again for the Packers if McManus can’t go.

Packers declared K Brandon McManus, DL Devonte Wyatt, OT Anthony Belton and CB Kamal Hadden inactive for Week 6 against the Bengals.
The Packers signed K Lucas Havrisik on Saturday, with McManus nursing a quad injury. Havrisik will kick in McManus’ stead. Green Bay received great news regarding the offensive line’s health. LT Rasheed Walker (quad), LG Aaron Banks (groin/knee), RT Zach Tom (oblique/back) and backup OG/C Jacob Monk are all active this week. The talented unit should keep QB Jordan Love upright against the Bengals. Starting CB Nate Hobbs (concussion) is not on the inactives list, indicating he successfully passed the NFL’s concussion protocol.
  • BUF Kicker #39
Bills signed K Lucas Havrisik, formerly of the Rams.
The signing of Havrisik creates some added competition for Tyler Bass, who has converted on just 9-of-12 field goals this season and had a bad miss on an extra-point attempt in Monday night’s win over the Jets — it was the second extra point Bass missed this season. Havrisik has converted on 15-of-20 field goal attempts in his career, with two of his field goals coming from distances of 50-plus yards. We’ll see if Bass is with the team when they take the field in Week 7 against the Titans.

Free agent K Chad Ryland visited the Packers on Tuesday.
Ditto Lucas Havrisik. Brayden Narveson has missed four of 13 field-goal attempts this year for the Packers, including the league’s only sub-40 yard miss through four weeks. The Packers may be ready to make a change.

Free agent K Matt Ammendola worked out for the Lions on Friday.
Per ESPN’s Field Yates, the Lions also worked out Lucas Havrisik, Matthew McCrane and Andre Szmyt following Michael Badgley’s season-ending injury. Ammendola (67.0 percent) and Havrisik (75.0 percent) are coming off shaky field-goal conversion rates in 2023. McCrane (80.0 percent) and Szmyt (87.0 percent) fared better in their recent UFL stints, though none of the four inspire confidence. The Lions’ fantasy-friendly kicker role may underwhelm in 2024.
  • CLE Kicker #39
Browns signed K Lucas Havrisik, formerly of the Rams.
Havrisik had a brief stint with the Browns last season but never attempted a field goal for them. The third-year kicker did, however, make nine appearances for the Rams last season, converting on 15-of-20 field goals, with four of them coming from 40-plus yards out. He’ll presumably get a chance to compete with Dustin Hopkins and Cade York for the Browns’ starting kicker role this season. Last season, Hopkins converted on 33-of-36 of his field goal attempts.
