49ers selected Oklahoma State LB Nick Martin with the No. 75 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Martin (5’11.5/221) had a highly productive 2023 campaign in his first season as a starter for Oklahoma State. His 2024 encore performance was cut short by an undisclosed knee injury, ending his season after just five games. He played very well during that initial stretch, though, and his 8.52 RAS should assuage concerns over injury-related issues. Among Power Five linebackers in the 2023 regular season, Martin ranked top three in solo tackles (89) and stops (60) and tied for seventh in TFLs (16). He had already amassed 12 TFLs in his injury-shortened season. Martin can contribute as a part-time pass rusher as well, having averaged a 21.9 percent quarterback pressure rate over the last two seasons. Martin will begin as a special teamer but can work his way into the defensive rotation.
