Dolphins DE Otis Grigsby is emerging as the favorite to replace holdout DE Adewale Ogunleye.
If Ogunleye doesn’t return in time for the season, Grigsby is worth grabbing in deep IDP leagues. Anyone playing across from Jason Taylor should post solid stats.
  • HOU Defensive Lineman
The Panthers expect to be without DE Stanley McClover on Sunday.
McClover, Carolina’s third end, has a hurt thigh. Charles Johnson has made slow progress, so Otis Grigsby will likely take McClover’s place this weekend.
  • FA Defensive Lineman #98
    Panthers released DL Dave Ball.
Journeyman Otis Grigsby made the team over Ball.
  • MIN Defensive Lineman
Panthers released DE Otis Grigsby and promoted DT Gary Gibson from their practice squad.
Gibson is an unknown commodity. Grigsby’s release is a surprise, as he for a short time appeared to be ahead of Stanley McClover on the end depth chart.

Vikings signed DE Otis Grigsby off the Panthers’ practice squad.
He takes the roster spot of Ray Edwards, who didn’t appeal his four-game suspension. Grigsby, a former undrafted free agent from Kentucky, showed promise in Panthers camp, but won’t have much of a role for Minnesota.
  • MIN Defensive Lineman
    Vikings re-signed DE Otis Grigsby.
The Vikings didn’t tender Grigsby a $1.01 million offer in restricted free agency, so he’s likely returning for the minimum. Grigsby appeared in eight games last year, playing mostly special teams and making one tackle.
  • MIN Defensive Lineman
Panthers waived TE Sean Mulcahy and DE Otis Grigsby.
  • MIN Defensive Lineman
The Vikings did not extend tender offers to restricted free agent DLs Otis Grigsby and Jayme Mitchell, making them unrestricted free agents.
Grigsby appeared in eight games last season and was used only on field goal formations. Mitchell offers good size, but is coming off a knee injury.
