No. 1 overall draft pick Andrew Luck has yet to sign his rookie contract, a fact that has been turned into a story by a media starved for news between the end of spring practices and training camp. Football junkies need something to talk about.
But Luck isn’t the least bit worried about it, and he made that clear in an interview with Alex Marvez of FOX Sports.
“I’m sure [the contract] will get done,” said a confident Luck. “Honestly, I let my agent worry about that side of things.”
The Colts don’t open training camp for another 30 days, so there is plenty of time for the club to hammer out contract details with Luck’s representation. Luck insists he’s thinking about other things.
“I focus on football, especially having missed so much [practice] time because of school,” Luck said. “I didn’t want very many distractions to make sure I catch up in terms of time with everybody else.
“My agent will handle it.”
