A blindside block on a punt return has drawn Vikings rookie safety Antone Exum Jr. a fine.
The NFL has docked Exum $22,050 for the block on Packers cornerback Jarrett Bush in the Vikings’ 42-10 loss in Green Bay on October 2, the league confirmed to PFT on Friday.
The block occurred on a second-quarter Packers punt. As Bush chased the play, Exum squarely hit him in the right shoulder/chest area, knocking him to the ground. Exum drew a personal foul for the hit.
A Virginia Tech product, Exum was a sixth-round pick of Minnesota in May. He has appeared in each of Minnesota’s first five games as a reserve.
