The Bears might have just improved two spots on their offensive line with one signing.
Per multiple reports, the Bears have signed Cardinals right tackle Bobby Massie.
Ostensibly, that clears the way for Pro Bowl offensive lineman Kyle Long to move back inside to guard, something he seems to be OK with.
Massie on his own merits should be an upgrade for the Bears, as he’s started 46 games for the Cardinals the last four years, including 14 last year.
But the Cardinals spent a first-round pick on tackle D.J. Humphries a year ago, so they weren’t going to get into a bidding war for Massie.
