On Thursday, the Chargers needed to sell 3,900 tickets in order to lift the local blackout for Sunday’s game against the Chiefs.

And they did.

The team has announced that the game will be televised locally.

The release doesn’t say whether the tickets were sold the old-fashioned way, or whether the team, the local TV stations that will televise the game, and/or any sponsors forked over 34 cents on the dollar for the unsold seats.

The only blackouts this week will happen in Cincinnati and Tampa.

Meanwhile, Chiefs fans still want to know how they can get the game blacked out in Kansas City.
