Perhaps LeGarrette Blount and Tom Brady can watch the Patriots’ opener against the Steelers together, and commiserate about how they should both be on the field instead of the couch.

Blount, the Patriots running back who is suspended for Week One for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, took to Twitter to vent on Monday after Brady was suspended four games for Deflategate. Blount referred to Brady’s suspension as “absolutely ridiculous” and urged Patriots fans to make their voices heard about it.

The Patriots and their fans have made no secret that they think Brady’s Deflategate suspension is ridiculous, too. And plenty of people think it’s ridiculous that the NFL suspends players for using marijuana. But Brady and Blount both broke the rules, as the NFL sees it, and as a result they’re both going to be sidelined to start the season.
