The Browns have reached deals with linebacker Justin Cole and fullback Brock Bolen, the club said Wednesday.
Both players will vie for reserve roles, and each has NFL special-teams coverage experience -- always helpful when trying to make a roster.
Cole, 25, appeared in all 16 games for St. Louis in 2012, notching seven special-teams tackles, per Rams statistics.
The 28-year-old Bolen last appeared in an NFL regular-season game in 2011, when he made 13 appearances for Jacksonville and was one of the club’s more productive special-teams coverage performers.
With Cole and Bolen arriving, the Browns waived veteran offensive lineman Dominic Alford and undrafted rookie wide receiver Keenan Davis.
Cleveland is at the 90-player roster limit.
