Another well-regarded free agent is off the market.
The Buccaneers and Cowboys outside linebacker Bruce Carter have agreed to terms on a four-year contract, the team said Wednesday.
According to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports, Carter’s contract is for $20.5 million.
Carter was PFT’s 63rd-ranked free agent.
The 27-year-old Carter started 32-of-49 games in four seasons with Dallas, recording 242 tackles, five interceptions and three sacks. His athleticism and pass coverage ability should serve him well in Tampa Bay’s 4-3 scheme, elements of which figure to be much like the one he played in with Dallas.
