The team that completed the first draft pick signing of 2015 has finalized another deal.
The Buccaneers have signed Utah wide receiver/returner Kaelin Clay, a sixth-round choice, the team said Tuesday.
Clay (5-10, 195) returned three punts and one kickoff for scores for the Utes in 2014. He also hauled in 43 passes for 523 yards and four touchdowns. He is perhaps best known to college football fans for dropping the ball just before scoring a long touchdown vs. Oregon, which led to a Ducks defensive score the other way.
Clay, who will vie for the Buccaneers’ returner job and a reserve WR role, joins No. 1 overall pick Jameis Winston as Tampa Bay’s lone selections to sign. The Bucs have five unsigned draft choices.
