C.J. Spiller apologizes for hurling slur at Ricky Sapp

NFL_Spiller2

Earlier today, Bills running back C.J. Spiller dropped the three-letter “F” bomb in the direction of Eagles defensive end Ricky Sapp. The two rookies were teammates at Clemson.

Spiller has now tried to cram the toothpaste back into the tube. He has deleted the message in question, and he has expressed remorse for his words.

“I wanna apologize for using dat derogatory term to any1 that I may have offended I am truly sorry that was out of my character,” Spiller said. And he added the perfunctory, “God bless.”

The apology is predictable, and it likely won’t help him avoid some sort of a sanction, either from the team or the league.
