The Cardinals addressed their quarterback depth by trading for Matt Barkley yesterday, so they cut a pair today.
Logan Thomas and Phillip Sims were among the final moves the team just announced — roughly three hours after the deadline for turning them into the league office.
Thomas was a 2014 fourth-rounder, but they showed no confidence in him last year after Carson Palmer went down, so they decided to cut the experiment short.
They also cut veteran defensive linemen Matt Shaughnessy and Alameda Ta’amu, running backs Marion Grice (waived-injured), Robert Hughes, Paul Lasike and Kerwynn Williams, wide receivers Trevor Harman and Jaxon Shipley, guards Jon Halapio, Antoine McClain and Anthony Steen, tackle Cameron Bradfield, linebacker Gabe Martin, cornerbacks Cariel Brooks, Jonte Green, C.J. Roberts and Jimmy Legree (waived-injured) and safeties Harold Jones-Quartey and Anthony Walters.
Those moves left them with just three cornerbacks, so more moves are coming in the next few days.
