There had been optimism that Bears safety Chris Harris would be available to play on Sunday, despite a hip injury that knocked him out of practice on Wednesday. Though he still may play, Harris also didn’t practice on Thursday.

The other Chicago player who didn’t suit up on Thursday was linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa, who has a lingering knee injury. Tinoisamoa practiced on Wednesday.

“Both of them are getting better,” coach Lovie Smith said, in comments distributed by the team. “Pisa is just a normal routine we take him through. Chris Harris is making progress. Hopefully we’ll be able to get him on the football field tomorrow. It’s not a must. In an ideal world you would have the players at least practice Friday, but for a guy like Chris Harris if he couldn’t make it tomorrow we would let it go right up until game time.”

For the Packers, linebacker Frank Zombo missed practice Wednesday and Thursday with a knee injury.

Defensive end Cullen Jenkins (calf), running back John Kuhn (shoulder), linebacker Clay Matthews (shin), defensive end Ryan Pickett (ankle), center Jason Spitz (calf), and cornerback Charles Woodson (toe) practiced on a limited basis.
