Colts General Manager Ryan Grigson loves taking a flyer on a player with an unconventional background.
It appears he’s found another, as the team announced they signed former Arena League tackle Jack Breckner.
The 6-foot-9, 320-pound Breckner has played in some of the other indoor leagues, after four years as a starter at Division III Gustavus Adolphus College in Minnesota.
While Breckner might not turn into anything beyond a camp body, he’s at least a very large on.
And after the experiment with former rugby player Daniel Adongo led to his being promoted to the active roster late in the season, the Colts are willing to look under every rock.
Even if they’re very big rocks.
