The Cowboys offensive line was the subject of deserved praise for their play during the 2014 season and they’ll have to author a repeat performance with a different position coach.
Bill Callahan bolted for a three-year deal in D.C. on Thursday, but there wasn’t a long wait to find out who would be replacing him on Jason Garrett’s staff. The team chose to promote assistant offensive line coach Frank Pollack to the top job.
“I think the continuity that we’ll have at the offensive line position will be really good for our team,” Garrett said, via the team’s website. “Frank was a big contributor over the last couple of years with that group and the development of that group both individually and collectively, so we feel really good about that.”
Pollack will have an assistant helping with the line during his first season on the job. It could be former Cowboys tackle Marc Colombo, who spent 2014 working in the team’s personnel department, although Garrett said the team was still working through options.
