Cornerback Darrelle Revis may have jumped to the Jets as a free agent and skipped the Patriots’ Super Bowl ring ceremony, but he isn’t cutting all ties to his former teammates in New England.
Revis is going to be spending time with a few members of the Patriots secondary in Arizona next month. Patriots safety Devin McCourty told Mike Reiss of ESPN.com that he, cornerback Logan Ryan and safety Tavon Wilson will start prepping for training camp on July 12 by working out with Revis and trainer Will Sullivan.
The players did the same thing last summer before Revis’s first and only season with the Patriots.
“It was good for us to just be out there and just get more camaraderie with each other and just hang out with each other a lot every day,” Revis said of last year’s workouts, via the Associated Press.
The camaraderie won’t help Revis this year, although it could be a boost for McCourty and company as they move forward without the cornerback in the lineup for the 2015 season.
